Perayaan 17 Agustus di SMK Manba’ul Ulum

17 Agustus diperingati sebagai Hari Kemerdekaan Indonesia. Tentu saja hari tersebut merupakan moment dimana kita mengenang  perjuangan para Pahlawan Indonesia yang dengan sangat berani dan hebatnya melawan penjajah hingga Indonesia dinyatakan Merdeka dengan tanda lahirnya Proklamasi oleh Ir.Soekarno – Drs.Mohammad Hatta pada tahun 1945.

Berbagai tempat mempunyai tradisi tersendiri dalam merayakan hari Nasional ini, namun, satu acara yang sarat akan makna perjuangan adalah Lomba. Ya, Lomba diadakan oleh seluruh tempat karena dianggap sangat membutuhkan perjuangan untuk meraih kemenangan layaknya nasib Pahlawan Indonesia untuk merebut Kemerdekaan.

Sangat bervariasi lomba yang diadakan. 2 diantaranya mulai dari yang memerlukan strategi kerjasama seperti tarik tambang dan panjat pinang, Individual seperti balap karung dan makan kerupuk, atau memacu semangat nasionalisme seperti lomba baca Pidato bertema kemerdekaan.

SMK Manba’ul Ulum sendiri mengadakan lomba makan kerupuk, tarik tambang, balap karung, estafet air, pecah plastik, rebutan kursi untuk kategori siswa putra dan putri, cerdas pintar kategori campuran dan penilaian kelas bagi antar kelas. Berikut adalah pemenang dari lomba-lomba tersebut :
